I like the overall feel (that grass patch clinging to the bottom of the frame is kinda bugging me though). I liek that you're branching out into more cinematic stuff rather than just iconic character shots even if you're shaky right now.
All the colors are very one note though. May have been a cool/graphic effect to fast the figure in more overtones of purple or blue to offset and compliment all the warm yellows and oranges. It might make him "pop" a little more using just color theory instead of going against your style and over-rendering *too* much color. (quick and dirty example, feel free to ignore lol - [link]) I know you have issues choosing colors so have you considered using a tool like adobe kuler [link], color schemer [link] or a gamut masker [link] (my favorite).
I've been trying to remember what Kuler was for a while. I knew there was some kind of color palette thingy. I can see what you mean. I knew the colors seemed to...not really pop I guess. I'll mess around with it some more.
